Der WMS investiert als Co-Investor gemeinsam mit den Healthcare Spezialisten GENUI und SHS Capital in ROTOP, einen f\u00fchrenden europ\u00e4ischen Hersteller und CDMO f\u00fcr Radiopharmazeutika.<\/p>\n

Die ROTOP Pharmaka GmbH<\/a>, gegr\u00fcndet 2000 mit Sitz in Dresden-Rossendorf, ist ein f\u00fchrender Anbieter von radiopharmazeutischen Produkten. Radioaktive Arzneimittel kommen immer h\u00e4ufiger zum Einsatz, sowohl f\u00fcr diagnostische Anwendungen als auch f\u00fcr therapeutische Zwecke; in der Nuklearmedizin beispielsweise zur Bildgebung oder zur gezielten Therapie bei der Behandlung bestimmter Krebsarten. Die Anwendung von radiopharmazeutischen Produkten bietet den Vorteil einer sehr gezielten Wirksamkeit und vermeidet weitgehend die Sch\u00e4digung gesunden Gewebes.<\/p>\n

Der Markt f\u00fcr Radiopharmazeutika hat in den letzten Jahren eine gro\u00dfe Dynamik entwickelt und verzeichnete ein h\u00f6heres Wachstum als zum Beispiel klassische Biotechbereiche. Der Grund daf\u00fcr ist unter anderem der medizinische und wirtschaftliche Erfolg von kommerziellen Radiopharmazeutika, der zu deutlichen Investitionen in die Entwicklung neuer Pr\u00e4parate von in diesem Bereich t\u00e4tigen Biotech- und Pharmaunternehmen f\u00fchrt. Um der steigenden Nachfrage begegnen und den klinischen und kommerziellen Bedarf von Chargenkapazit\u00e4ten zuk\u00fcnftig abdecken zu k\u00f6nnen, hat ROTOP schon vor zwei Jahren angefangen, ihr CDMO-Angebot auszubauen. Mit der aktuellen Investition sollen nun u.a. die bestehenden CDMO-Kapazit\u00e4ten deutlich erweitert werden.<\/p>\n
