High-precision vehicle localization for autonomous driving

Naventik GmbH

Naventik GmbH is a spin-off from the TU Chemnitz with the focus on further development and marketing of the self-developed „PATHFINDER“ technology. „PATHFINDER“ is a satellite-supported, software-based localization solution (Software Defined Radio) and replaces common, expensive hardware for vehicles. Through deep fusion of further sensor data, the positioning quality can be made more precise down to a few cm and enables highly automated driving from SAE level 3 and higher. In addition to the automotive sector, PATHFINDER is also used in industries such as air, rail, and agriculture, and has been integrated into customers’ target systems several times as part of joint projects.

TGFS has been a shareholder in the company since 2018 together with co-investor GPS Ventures, Berlin. The exit took place 2022.
