CYNiO GmbH

CYNiO is an innovative chemical startup specializing in the safe, flexible, and sustainable production of CO₂-based isocyanates—without the use of phosgene. As a spin-off of TU Bergakademie Freiberg, the startup develops chemical building blocks for research, industry, and specialized applications, thereby closing a critical gap in the value chain. It enables the flexible and safe production of even small batches of specialized isocyanates, which serve as important building blocks in numerous products such as medicines, adhesives, coatings, and foams and are therefore essential for the pharmaceutical, agricultural, and construction industries, among others.

TGFS has held a stake in the company since 2025, together with bmp Ventures.
