Exit for the TGFS: Arioso Systems GmbH. The start-up from Dresden is taken over by Bosch Sensortec GmbH.

With thisacquisition, Bosch is underpinning its international technology leadership. At the same time, the German industrial group is expanding its local commitment in Saxony whichwas raised to a new level just last year with the opening of the state-of-the-art chip factory in the state’s capital. This acquisition presents itself as a perfect match: the Arioso team has developed the first chip-based micro loudspeakers that are made of 100 % silicon and are characterised by their small size and weight with maximum performance. This makes the technology particularly suitable for in-ear headphones and hearing aids. The takeover by Bosch Sensortec gives Arioso Systems additional impetus for further market development and product development at the high-tech location of Dresden.

Background: Arioso Systems was founded in 2019 as a science-based spin-off from the Fraunhofer IPMS. TGFS has supported the start-up since the seed phase. The consortium includes High-Tech Gründerfonds, Brandenburg Kapital GmbH , Fraunhofer Venture and private investors. Hermann Schenk, CEO Arioso Systems: „We would like to thank our seed investors for their support over the past years. Without them, our technology would not be where it is today. The sale to Bosch Sensortec is a joint success. It allows us to realise the full global potential of our MEMS micro loudspeakers.“

The takeover is subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose project details such as the purchase price.
