watttron GmbH

watttron GmbH is a spin-off from TU Dresden and a Dresden Fraunhofer Institute. The start-up develops and produces novel heating systems that are used in industrial processes for precise temperature control. The patented heating technology enables, among others, the optimization of packaging in terms of material and energy use. The process allows precise temperature control even for large areas to be heated and enables the processing of environmentally friendly (additive-free, bio-based, recyclable) materials.

TGFS has been a shareholder in the company, along with three other investors since 2020.

Series B round at watttron

watttron has successfully closed a M€ 12 Series B funding round. The round was led by the Circular Innovation Fund and the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund. Long-standing partners such as the TGFS also took part.
