TGFS Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen has invested a seven-figure amount in the Chemnitz-based software and hardware start-up in.hub GmbH as part of a Series A financing round. Founded in Chemnitz in 2017, the company has since been developing and marketing “siineos”, a customizable, modularly expandable and vendor-independent solution that integrates hardware and software components. Its primary users are small and medium-sized enterprises that benefit from enhanced data insights into their processes and machinery thanks to siineos. Compared to conventional solutions, siineos is easier, faster and more cost-effective to implement.
Using siineos, users can gain valuable insights into their often-longstanding analog machinery, such as exact temperature readings, power surges, or detailed utilization and downtime reasons. With this information, operators can better prevent wear and tear, optimize equipment utilization and reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Unlike many competitors’ product, all these features are fully offline and accessible without requiring cloud connectivity.
The team comprises 15 members and is operationally led by the founders Marco Neubert and Christian Groß. Both engineers bring years of experience in development and sales with the same target customer base from their previous roles, enabling the start-up to achieve stable revenue growth in a short period.
“Our vision is to establish IIoT in the SME sector and make the digitalization of analog machines accessible to all manufacturing companies,” explain in.hub founders Christian Groß and Marco Neubert,” With our solution, we offer customers new analytical capabilities, ultimately enabling entirely new ways to operate and utilize their machinery.”
The two founders plan to use the additional financial resources to expand their sales operations and further optimize their hardware/software solution. They also aim to develop a platform for additional applications, enabling customers to easily access further valuable insights into their machinery. In the long term, the platform will also be made available to external developers via a commission-based model.
TGFS Managing Director Sören Schuster on the transaction: “in.hub is an attractive growth company with a committed and experienced team that aims to unlock new business areas in the software sector. The company operates in an established market with significant upside potential. We are delighted to support the in.hub team in its development as part of the TGFS Portfolio.”
