Christian John Christian John is Investment Manager at TGFS and S‑Beteiligungen Leipzig | TGFS Leipzig Region

Christian John completed his education as banker prior to his studies and worked as student trainee on the launch of a structured fund solution for a company in the renewable energies sector. After completing his Master’s degree, he started working for an active VC investor helping them to IPO at Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Following that, he worked as business developer in the Berlin office of a Silicon Valley start-up. After that he moved back to Technical University Dresden as a research associate. In his role as a project coordinator, he implemented a project inspired by his master thesis to increase the entrepreneurial awareness of pupil in rural regions.

From 2019, Christian John worked as an investment manager at MBG Sachsen for five years. There he was responsible for financing start-ups and young technology companies. In 2024, he moved to S‑Beteiligungen and supports innovative technology companies in the Leipzig area.

Christian John completed a bachelor’s degree in business & economics with a focus on international management at the University of Jena and Hull University Business School in England. He then completed a master’s degree in Business Administration at the TU Dresden, specializing in Corporate Development & Innovation Management.
