The latest issue of the Börsen-Zeitung focuses on the Saxony region:

Journalist Karolin Rothbart writes: “The Saxon start-up hotspots Dresden, Leipzig and Chemnitz are currently in full swing. In no other federal state have start-up activities increased as significantly as in Saxony. However, gaining access to growth capital and attracting employees remain siginifcant challenges for young companies.”

TGFS Managing Director Sören Schuster comments on Saxon start-up szene: “The significant increase in company formations in VC-relevant areas is the result of the ecosystem’s continuous and long-term efforts,” he states. “Since the late 1990s, founders in Saxony have been systematically encouraged, trained in entrepreneurial skills, and supported with infrastructure.”
