New in our portfolio: SURAG Medical GmbH. The medtech startup was founded in 2021 and specializes in the development of audio-based assistance systems for minimally invasive procedures. The company strives to improve patient safety and treatment outcomes through non-invasive assistance solutions. SURAG Medical is based in Leipzig, Germany and works closely with medical professionals and institutions to develop innovative technologies that revolutionize patient care.

SURAG Medical’s intraoperative plug and play feedback technology enhances conventional medical instruments with real-time sensor data. This opens an enormous range of applications and further potential for smart medical interventions. We are pleased to accompany the further development as TGFS. TGFS is investing in this pre-seed funding round together with JOBEST GmbH, Prof. Dr. med. Patrick Schuler, Eric-Michael Dokter and Richard Reiber, as well as the existing investors Dr. Axel Boese and Prof. Dr. Michael Friebe.

The SURAG Medical founding team includes Moritz Spiller, Dr. Alfredo Illanes, Nazila Esmaeili and Thomas Sühn. The company is a spin off from a research project at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and has already received EXIST funding for start-ups from science.
