HiperScan GmbH

HiperScan GmbH is a technology spin-off from the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems, Dresden, for the commercialization of an opto-mechanical microchip (optical MEMS). The outstanding product is an NIR spectrometer (Apo-Ident), which considerably simplifies the obligatory identity check for prescription substances in pharmacies. In addition, industrial applications for NIR technology are increasingly being found.

TGFS acquired a stake in the company in 2010. In 2022, the exit took place in the course of the takeover by Fagron N.V., a global healthcare provider. Fagron N.V., einem globalen Gesundheitsdienstleister.

Fagron N.V., a global healthcare provider, has announced the majority acquisition of HiperScan GmbH, Dresden. In the course of this transaction, TGFS has also sold its shares, after accompanying HiperScan for several years.
