As lead investor, we are investing in the Leipzig-based start-up together with GIMIC Ventures, Gateway Ventures, the Prange Group, and other renowned family offices and business angels. The funds from this round will be used to expand and internationalize the digital health platform, which focuses on lipedema. This is an often undiagnosed but painful fat distribution disorder.

The LipoCheck team has set itself the task of digitally accompanying and supporting lipedema patients on their journey. The LipoCheck and LipoAlly apps enable those affected to document their symptoms, access medical knowledge, and benefit from specialized telemedicine services. The company also works closely with health insurance providers and medical professionals to ensure better care from the initial suspicion to therapy support.

Behind LipoCheck is the founding team led by sisters Anina Langhans and Helena Rapprich and their father Dr. Stefan Rapprich, whose practical experience gave rise to the medical need for the platform. Helena Rapprich, CEO and co-founder of LipoCheck: „Our goal is to enable millions of women worldwide to receive early diagnosis and the best possible access to treatment.

With the new funding, LipoCheck will further expand its telemedicine services, strategic partnerships with insurance companies and doctors, and research and development of new AI modules. The company also plans to enter the market in other European countries and the US. The start-up has already made impressive progress, having signed contracts with health insurance companies to give patients quick access to specialists and comprehensive therapy support.
